Our Story

Let me tell you a bit about me.  I’m Marissa Mead and I’m a business owner with my wonderful hubby, Dean.  We love to change things up and one business is always evolving into another and then another.  Yep, we’re never bored here. We used to run Lifework Media, a multimedia production company that did just about anything artistic, creative, and fun.  Graphic design, print layout, advertisements, invitations, video production & editing, website design & maintenance, and pretty much anything else you can think of.  That went off to the wayside as I became more interested in designing children’s clothing for my current businesses Little Scouts Co & Moccaholics.  I still do invitations and graphic design but only through word of mouth connections!

I launched this blog as a way to keep track of the things I’ve made and as a creative outlet for myself, and to share my love for all things beautiful and trendy; hip, adorable, and need-it-right-now children’s goods, pretty invitations, charming vintage finds, gorgeous photography, creative graphic design and packaging, beautiful wedding details, stylish home accessories, and other ideas to inspire anyone.

This blog started as a place where I took my experiences from designing for Lifework Media to help people create a personal “brand” for themselves, which they could showcase on their wedding day or in their homes.  I love showing you how your wedding, or home, or both can be one-of-a-kind.  But now this blog has evolved into a place where you can brand your family as well (from mom and dad’s style to the precious little ones in our lives).  I also love to inspire people to break tradition and to think outside of the box to create something that is “just them”.  It’s my hope that you will find inspiration and learn new and creative ways you can make your life a true reflection of you.

I live in Gig Harbor, Washington with my amazingly supportive husband Dean, our two kids, and our dog.  Please contact me if you are interested in me making you something custom and we’ll work together to make it happen.  I would love to work with you to create something beautiful!
